LawFinch is a service of HelpMatch, LLC, operating under the LawFinch brand (“LawFinch,” “we,” “us”). We operate lawfinch.com and the LawFinch matching service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to match you with an attorney, we share your details with the attorney we match you with because that is the service you are asking us to perform, and we never sell your information to data brokers.
Information you provide. When you request a match we collect your contact details (such as name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code) and information about your legal situation (such as the practice area, county, and details you choose to share about your matter).
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect device and usage information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referral source, and advertising click identifiers) through cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and session replay tools that record how visitors interact with our pages.
Legal inquiries are sensitive. The details of a legal matter (for example, a criminal charge, a family dispute, an immigration question, or a bankruptcy) can be sensitive personal information. We use those details only to perform the match and operate the service, and we share them only as this policy describes. Information you submit to LawFinch is not protected by attorney-client privilege until you form an attorney-client relationship with an attorney, so share what an attorney needs to evaluate your inquiry and save the rest for your engaged counsel.

With your matched attorney. Sharing your inquiry with the attorney we match you with is the core of the service. We do not make your details available to attorneys you are not matched with. Because you direct this disclosure by requesting a match, we treat it as the service you asked us to perform rather than a sale of your information; where a state law defines such transfers more broadly, you can exercise the rights described under “Your choices and rights.”
Within HelpMatch, LLC. LawFinch is a brand of HelpMatch, LLC, and the service runs on systems HelpMatch, LLC operates for its services. Your information is processed by HelpMatch, LLC to provide the LawFinch service, always under this policy, and is not used to market unrelated HelpMatch services to you without the notice and choices this policy describes.
With service providers. We use vendors who help us run the service (hosting, analytics, communications, payment processing). They may process your information only to provide services to us.
For advertising. We may share limited information (such as hashed identifiers and site activity) with advertising platforms to measure and improve our marketing, which some laws treat as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described under “Your choices” below.
We do not sell your information to data brokers. We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can also limit cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message. Message and data rates may apply to text messages; reply STOP to opt out of texts. Where required by law, we honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control for the browser they are sent from.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
LawFinch is a lawyer matching service, not a law firm. Submitting an inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship with LawFinch or with any attorney, and information you submit to LawFinch is not protected by attorney-client privilege until you establish a relationship with an attorney. Our service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
